Chamundi Hill Palace is situated on Raj Kumar Estate, a lush greenery of a 250 acres rubber plantation. The resort lies amidst peaceful surroundings in a stunning beauty of trees and flowering shrubs, 1300 feet above sea level.
All year around Chamundi Hill offers you a cool and comfortable climate, while the rest of Kerala might sweat and burn. The temperate climate allows you to receive treatments throughout the whole year. Chamundi Hill Palace is situated at Nadukani, near Edakunnam. The estate lies in the middle of Raj Kumar Rubber plantation, a lush greenery of 250 acres, 1300 ft. above sea level. You can easily reach us by car. But if you come by train or plane, we will be happy to pick you up from the railway station at Ernakulam (by Cochin) or Kottayam, and at Cochin Airport.
ABOUT THIS RESORT:
Anyone visiting the Chamundi Hills will probably wonder how such a treasure can be found in a remote corner of Kerala. The estate is almost hidden and perched high, overlooking green and fertile hills and valleys.
The main house was originally built for the Raja (king) Udaya Varma about 75 years ago. The hill was then twenty feet higher, but it was leveled and the road cut out of virgin rock, by human efforts alone.
The owner, Mrs. Saroja Thampi, first came to Chamundi in 1967 as the young bride of C. G. Thampi, the grandson of the Raja. She was enchanted by each season bringing new delights and fresh colors to nature’s palette. And she always had the wish that more people, other than her family, should have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of her home.

The Government-approved green leaf Ayurveda Centers offer a pleasant and calm treatment. Our Ayurvedic doctor and a highly qualified staff are on site 24 hours a day.

ACCOMMODATION:
All rooms are spacious and comfortable, with private bathrooms.
FOOD:
Native delicacies are served along with your favorite recipes. During the treatment period you will be served an Ayurvedic diet. We ensure only freshly made food and organically grown vegetables, coffee, spices and herbs.
PRICE RANKING:
The charges are; Standard Room – Rs. 1600, Room with Balcony – Rs. 1900, Cottage Room – Rs. 2200, Ayurveda treatment package – Standard Room – 95 euro per day, Room with Balcony – 105 euro per day and Cottage Room – 120 euro per day.
