ABOUT THIS COLLEGE:
College of Ayurveda jointly developed by Middlesex University the BSc. The College offers you the opportunity to learn more about Ayurveda and receive hands on practical knowledge and skills from experienced Ayurveda physicians, practitioners and therapists. We have put together a range of seminars and workshops which can be held throughout the year at various venues in the UK.
Our seminars and workshops are conducted by qualified Ayurveda physicians and practitioners. The College of Ayurveda offers you information on the types of Ayurveda therapies available. You can experience a range of rejuvenation and detoxification therapies, as well as lifestyle and health counseling for physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual well being
The College of Ayurveda has a team of research experts in the UK, India and Sri Lanka. We undertake contract research on Ayurveda and invite collaborative projects.
COURSE OFFERED:
College of Ayurveda offers the following courses are; BSc Honours Complementary Health Sciences (Ayurveda) and MSc/PGD Ayurvedic Medicine.
DURATION:
BSc Honours Complementary Health Sciences (Ayurveda) – 3 years program and MSc/PGDip Ayurvedic Medicine – 1 year program
FACULTY:
Dr M Athique DAMS (Hons) MD (MA) DAc MFHom RGN MBA PhD is the founder, Director and a lecturer for the College’s programs with Middlesex University. Dr Athique is one of the leading Ayurvedic Physicians in the UK. He has been practicing Ayurveda for over 32 years, and Acupuncture for the last 16 years. He runs a successful practice in London. He iss a Medical Director of The Ayurvedic Medical Association and involved in Ayurveda clinical research
Dr. Palitha Serasingheis the Assistant Director and the Principal Lecturer for the College. He graduated as a Physician of Ayurveda in 1982 from the Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. He went on to become lecturer, senior lecturer and Head of Department at the same University: as well as a physician and Ayurveda Consultant Physician at the University's Ayurveda Teaching Hospital and was fundamental to the development of Ayurveda research and research policy in Sri Lanka.
Dr Joshi – Senior Lecture is a Senior Lecture for the College. He graduated with a B.A.M.S and M.D in Ayurvedic Ayurvedic Medicine from India
OTHER FACILITIES:
Graduates will be able to practise as Ayurvedic therapists, providing therapy and advice in areas such as massage, diet and nutrition, stress management, and lifestyle choices. They will be eligible to join the Ayurvedic Medical Association (AMA).

The treatments are; Sirodhara, Abhyanga, Nasya, Ooshmasvedam, Pinda Sveda / Navarakizi, Shirsha Taila Vimardana, Vaktra Chikitsa, Pada Abhyanga, Sambahaba / Tala Vimardana, Other Physical Treatmetns, Health / Lifestyle Counseling and Psychological Counseling.
