ABOUT THIS INSTITUTE:
The Institute offers workshops and trainings in Ayurveda since 1998. We specialize in a therapeutic form of Ayurvedic massage known as Atreya Abhyanga that is adapted to the Western therapist. We also offer extensive trainings in Ayurvedic Nutrition, Ayurvedic Herbal therapies, lifestyle counseling, disease prevention with Ayurveda and basic trainings that are needed to become a professional Ayurvedic therapist. If you want to learn Ayurveda our school has a broad range of courses available.
Each year the Institute offers clinical trainings in India with expert doctors. The Institute is mainly a not-for-profit organization that invests profits in the publication of books on Ayurveda for the public or in developing text books for Western schools of Ayurveda. We are no longer affiliated with David Frawley and the American Institute of Vedic Studies and no longer distribute his material or courses in Europe.
GOAL OF THIS INSTITUTE:
EIVS has the goal to provide a broad presentation of Vedic / Hindu culture through various branches of traditional knowledge such as philosophy, Jyotish, Ayurveda and music by the distribution of distance learning courses and extended trainings with qualified teachers.
The purpose of EIVS is to offer a high level of education in the European Community. EIVS is an educational and research facility that shares its mission with a number of other institutions and is not affiliated with any one group, ideology, teacher, or teaching.
EIVS is directly affiliated with the Vinayak Ayurveda and Panchakarma Research Foundation and the Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University in Nagpur, India for the purpose of broader education in Ayurveda.
COURSE OFFERED:
We offer the following courses; Therapist training, Ayurvedic Nutrition & Lifestyle, Ayurvedic Nutrition & Lifestyle Course (Level 2), Therapist Training 1 Year (450 hour Course) and Ayurvedic Massage training.
FACULTY:
Our teachers are; Vaidya Atreya Smith - Director of the Institute, teacher for Dravyaguna, Dr Sunil V. Joshi, Teacher for clinical studies – He is a world-renowned expert on Pancha Karma, Alex Duncan practices Yoga regularly since 15 years and has studied with a number of internationally known yoga and mantra teachers and Marie-Angèle Bonato - Massage teacher.
ACCOMMODATION:
Dr. Rao and EIVS provided the guest house for the students.
FEE PARTICULARS:
The cost of the course is 230 Euros registration plus 1270 Euros for the three weeks (six days of study per week) and the room and board costs are 25 Euros per day.
