Nangelil Hospital, Kothamangalam is an Ayurvedic Center founded by Late Shri Gopalan Vaidyar in 1985 and established over 220 years, with the tradition maintained. TREATMENTS:
Ayurveda is a treatment where different types of massages are done to restore and increase blood circulation to improve the system for better living and eradicating diseases. It also improves and smoothen the texture of the skin. Massages relieve fatigue, weakness, and stress and strain. Some special massage techniques are used in the treatment of muscular-skeletal disorders.
We also specialize in treatments for spondilitis and lower back pain. Specialty of the Centre have an exclusive wing known as "Marma", which is included in one of the Ayurvedic Specialty known as 'Salyatandra'. This section deals with all types of orthopedic problems like fractures, grave bone disorders, inflammation and pain in the joints, paralysis, dislocation etc, along with general ayurvedic treatment for all other diseases. The center has a well-equipped section for Panchakarma and other treatments - Pizhichil, Njavarakizhi, Dhara, Vasthi, Sirovasthi, Udvarthanam, Abhyangam, Nasyam, Snehapanam, Kizhi, Dhamayamla Dhara, Yoni Prakshalanam, Kativasthi, Urovsathi, Ksheeradhoomam, Thalam and Lepanam.

This center has a team of well-qualified paramedical staff who are trained and highly experienced.
I had recurring & severe back pain after my pregnancy which was highly complicated. I took 10 days treatment from Nangelil and my Back pain problem was cured. The treatment was very nice and the consideration and care given to patient both by the staff and Doctors are really appreciable. Further it should be highlighted cost for the treatment is really reasonable and affordable.

Its very good Ayurveda hospital and Dr.Vijayan is very expert in Orthopedic matters, I had an accident and I was feeling pain on my leg knee with swelling, I approched a orthopedic surgen, I was admitted for 2 weeks for traction and physiothrapy finally Dr sugested orthoscopy to find out the actul problem, Then I approched Nangelil hospitel and consulted Dr.Vijyan. After examination he told that my "ligment" is dameged and it should treated with surgery. I approched an hospital after orthoscopy they confirmed that Dr. Vijayan is correct.
Similarey my mother was suffering with back ache had lot of treatment with modern medicin but no rellif, was cured with Nangelil's treatment
everything good The neatness,environment,commitment ... One and only negligence on behalf of the management is the three stepped entrance which cause lot of problem to the nimble legged (injured )patients who might have praised the architect if he had provided them with a slanding slopy entrance wich favours a wheel chair entry...
