Out of the Mercury (Frying Pan) Into the Floride (Fire!) by Martin Gluckman

Everyone (except perhaps the American Dental Association) has become aware of the horrendous systematic toxicity of mercury-silver-amalgam fillings (called amalgam fillings) that have been used frequently and continue their usage throughout most of the world. In some first world countries (with USA, UK, Australia and Europe at the fore), there are bans or growing public awareness of the dangers of mercury fillings. All good and well! I don’t need to repeat what any one curious enough can find information on such tooth fillings in the pages of so many books, websites and scientific studies, mercury amalgam leaks mercury into the system and causes a variety of chronic and acute ailments that vary from person to person depending on their overall immunity.

Great, so now the composite fillings are the rage and dentists are using a variety of composites (ceramic, glass-isomer and plastic derivatives). However, have you stopped to read the ingredients on your composite filling mix? Fuji IX which is a very well regarded and used substitute for amalgam contains slow release fluoride.

So many of the other composites contain fluoride based on the logic that fluoride is preventing further tooth decay. Whether that’s indeed true or not is a hot debate with anti-fluoridation people having a good heap of research to show it’s not, but the fact of the matter is that fluoride is a harrowing systematic poison too, perhaps even a little more dubious than Mercury.

So please take much care when you next go to the dentist and they offer you a ‘white’ filling. Do you homework and research and find out what the choices are in your country. Speak with holistic dentists and choose a restorative material that contains no-fluoride. I feel a new wave of restorative materials will be coming soon that are as close to body own substances as can be man made based on crystal composites as the public awaken to the next wave of dental filling diseases from the so called ‘safe’ white fillings.
