ABOUT THIS COLLEGE:

Rishikul State Ayurvedic College, Haridwar popularly known as Rishikul Ayurvedic College was established in 1919. This is the first Government Ayurvedic College of Uttarakhand State which has a huge infrastructure in 25acres , it is 1KM away from the Railway Station on the bank of Holly Ganga. Presently the College is affiliated from H.N.B. Garhwal University, Shrinagar(Garhwal).

In order to insure proper Ayurvedic education and research the college has 154 bed hospital with endure and outdoor facility in which patient suffering from various ailments example Spindilities, Arthritis, Paralysis, Psoriasis and general surgery with speciality of Anorectal disorder are being cured by the expertise staff of the hospital. The department of Panchkarma has a great role in curing the chronic diseases.

COURSE OFFERED:

The total number of seats for B.A.M.S. (Ayurvedacharya) degree course is 60 and the M.D. (Ayurveda) in Ras-shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana is 7.

ELIGIBILITY:

The students should qualify by 10 & +2 (Science) with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

DURATION:

5 & 1/2 years for B.A.M.S.

ACCOMMODATION:

To accommodate the student of the college there is 3 Girls Hostels, 3 Boys Hostels and 1 Post Graduate student Hostel's in the campus. For teachers and the staff, it has also a big residential colony.

OTHER FACILITIES:

To impart the basic knowledge, recognition and use of medical plants college has a large herbal garden having more than 300 medical plants & trees of various habitants of different climatic condition and altitudes. Besides these the college has the following 14 well equipped departments as per C.C.I.M. norms.

The college itself has a big pharmacy which is well equipped and manufacturing various I.S.M. drugs which are being supplied to the dispensaries of the status of Uttarakhand. For quality assurance, the pharmacy has an equipped Drug Testing Laboratory having all modern facilities to test the crude as well as the finished Ayurvedic formulations.
