LOCATION:
Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort is beautifully situated amidst tropical gardens along the scenic southern coastal belt in Wadduwa, Sri Lanka; it faces the sparkling blue waters of the Indian Ocean on the southern coastal belt of Sri Lanka, approximately 30 km from the capital, Colombo. Located by the beach, the Resort consists of 50 chalet type cottages. The Resort's architecture depicts Sri Lanka's ancient cultural heritage. The gardens consist of various medicinal plants. Resident Ayurveda therapy packages ranging from one week to four week treatments are available at the Health Resort. The uniqueness of Ayurveda is that it is devoid of any allergies or harmful side effects.
The Resort’s architectural design blends seamlessly with its locale and ancient heritage and culture of Sri Lanka during different eras through the extensive use of local materials and aesthetics; traditional terracotta roof tiles, hand hewn stone walls, water features, medicinal wood floors, and large balconies or terraces.
ABOUT THIS CENTRE:
Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospitals (Pvt) Ltd is the first Ayurvedic Hospital with both resident and outdoor health care facilities for the treatment of all ailments. Specialist Ayurvedic Channel Consultations are available with 24 Ayurvedic Specialists.
The Hospital also has a 24-hour ambulance service. The Siddhalepa Health Resort has a well-known team of Ayurvedic consultants, Doctors and therapists who are well versed in treating foreign clients for many years as some of them were employed at our Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital, which is the leading Ayurveda Hospital in Sri Lanka, established in 1987. Based on the Prakruti Consultation, Doctors will create a therapy, and food program to suit the individual needs of each guest.
The Hospital is manned by a team of 24 eminent Ayurvedic Specialists. The diagnosis of ailments, application of curative and preventive treatment, the manufacture of Ayurvedic herbal products are the prime functions of the Specialists at the Hospital. You will be consulting well known traditional doctors with extensive experience and there will also be access to specialist doctors at the Siddhalepa Hospital. Our therapists have been extensively trained in all treatments by the consultants at the Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital, the pioneer ayurveda hospital in Sri Lanka. All the Doctors and Therapists undergo an extensive Ayurveda training program at the Hospital under the guidance of well-known Ayurvedic Consultants. There are over twenty Ayurvedic consultants at the Hospital and visit the Health resort to attend to various special needs of the guests.
FOOD:
Our restaurant offers a variety of food. Guests can have the traditional Sri Lankan food Chinese, Indian, or Western food, according to their personal preferences. Vegetable is bought straight from the Farmer and the Sea food - fish, prawn, crabs, lobster etc - are fresh from the sea. Our Chef and his staff have wide experience in the preparation of food and are professionally qualified to offer Guests a daily Menu in keeping with the aims of the Health Center and at the same time providing Guests the best food that any hotel in the Island offers.
During a course of ayurvedic treatment, your diet is of great importance. Ayurvedic meals promote good health and well-being and are prepared according to the recommendations of the doctors. Our experienced cooking staff takes all these Ayurvedic guidelines into consideration and with constant consultation with Ayurveda Doctors, prepares delicious Ayurvedic food that are creations on their own with fresh garden vegetables bought from the neighboring villages and fresh seafood caught from the sea.
In addition, the resort serves a variety of International food to suit the palette of our international clients. Siddhalepa, with its centuries of Ayurveda heritage, has created over forty varieties of Ayurvedic Elixirs providing benefits many body functions are available at the restaurant. The healing powers of these Arishta are well documented in the Ayurvedic texts and are enshrined into the Sri Lankan culture. In addition, everyone is welcome to try the Ayurveda Tea Cart, located in the lobby. There are eight varieties Ayurvedic tea which full of healing properties, are totally natural and caffeine free.
ACCOMMODATION:
We provide fifty (50) spacious chalets are well appointed to luxury star class hotel standards. They are fully equipped with modern facilities for a comfortable stay and feature sunny aspects and private balconies or terraces. Guests can choose from either king size or twin beds, while all rooms have air-conditioning, ceiling fan, desk, living area, satellite TV, en suite bath with hot water, hair dryer and IDD telephone connections. Theme rooms have electronic safes and mini bars. Every room is designed with unique Sri Lankan motifs to give each guest a different experience.
THUN MAHAL PRASADYA - 3 Floor Super Luxury Villa of the Resort with Terra-Cotta tiled flooring. It provides a panoramic view of the Resort as well as the surrounding areas from the Balcony of its 2nd Floor. This is an ideal Home for a family gathering & family friends, for a magnificent get-together.
NIMBA SEVASA - 2 Floor Chalet giving a direct view of the Swimming Pool. The First Floor has been paneled with timber of the medicinal plant of Margosa (Neem). Treading on it with bare feet promotes removal of harmful toxic substances from the human system, giving a soothing effect to the body.
GAMMALU SEVANA - 2 Floor, the ground-floor of this Chalet is laid with Terra-Cotta flooring while the upper floor has been paneled with Gam-Malu timber. This is a tree that grows in dense jungles to a girth of about two to three feet, yielding a blood-red colour gum. Its cream is a cure for Diabetes. This Chalet provides a direct view of the Swimming Pool.
BALAKOTUWA - Chalet representing the pattern of an ancient Dutch House in a Dutch Fortress with broad walls, portraying the structural pattern of the Dutch. The flooring of this 'King Deluxe' Chalet is of Terra-Cotta tiles.
PIHIMBIYA SEVANA - 2 Storey Chalet, the upper floor of which is laid out of the timber of the Pihimbiya tree, grown in front gardens of most Sri Lankan homes since the tree is believed to usher good fortune to its occupants. The ground floor of the Chalet is laid with Terra-Cotta flooring.
DOMBA SEVANA - 2 Floor, the flooring of the ground floor is of Terra-Cotta flooring while the upper floor is paneled with the timber of the medicinal plant Domba, which is said to correct the ill effects of Vatha (Wind). The Chalet gives a direct view of the Swimming Pool.
MAYURA VILLA – It has four roomed house of the Resort. It provides a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean and woodland & meadow of the neighborhood. The flooring of the rooms is of Terra-Cotta flooring.
PINGODA GEDERA - The name denotes the ancestral home of Hettigoda Group Chairman's Father and Grandfather. The walls as well as the floor are entirely made of mole-hill clay impregnated with the juice of crushed leaves of Margosa (Azadirachtaindica) Kumbuk (Terminalia arjvna) Kurundu (Cinnamonium Zeylanicum) and Domba. This symbolises the hygienic constructional methods that were adopted during the ancient times to ensure a close liaison with nature. This Deluxe Chalet gives a direct view of the Indian Ocean.
GAL LENA - This Chalet is a replica of a Stone Cave which symbolizes the living abode of the Yogis and Rishis who lived many Centuries ago. This is a 'King Deluxe' Chalet giving a direct Oceanic view.
SAMANALA SEVANA - Both internal as well as external walls of this Chalet are made out of a very special type of natural bricks, effectively portraying the natural beauty of the elegant butterfly. The flooring of the Chalet is of Terra-Cotta Tiles.

KOON SEVANA - Timber of the Kong tree has been utilized to panel this Deluxe Chalet, since this type of timber has therapeutic effects of balancing the Three Doshas, Vatha (Air), Pitha (Fire & Water) and Kapha (Water & Earth).
KUMBUK SEVANA - A Deluxe Chalet - the flooring of which is of medicinal tree Kumbuk to provide a promotional factor for good health.
INDIGODAWATTE GEDARA - The name denotes the ancestral home of Hettigoda Group Chairman's Mother and Grandmother. Mole-hill clay impregnated with the juice of crushed leaves of Nika (Vitex nwegundo), Amba (Magnifera indica), Esala (Cassia fistula) and Bo tree has been used in the construction of both, interior and exterior walls as well as the floor of this Chalet enabling to exfoliate the entire body and thereby maintain the balance of the body's Three Doshas - Vata, Pitha & Kapha. This too is a 'King Deluxe" Chalet having a direct view of the Ocean.
WALAWWA - This Chalet is of 3 floors, representing the composite palatial house of an aristocratic Nobleman of ancient Sri Lanka. It consists of six rooms with Terra-Cotta flooring, having the special facility (free of any charge) for the comfortable accommodation of an additional person. The 2nd Floor Balcony of this Chalet provides a direct view of the Ocean as well as the Swimming Pool.
CHANDRA VASA - The spot where the enchanting moon-light bathes the area. The soothing rays of the moon are believed to promote longevity of human life. The walls of this 'King Deluxe' Chalet are of Kabook, while the flooring is out of wood. It has a direct view of the Sea.

ATH DEMATA SEVANA - The Ath Demata plant (Gealina arbosea) grows in Sri Lanka & the Himalayan foot - hills in India. It's a medium sized tree. The component parts, the roots & the bark are being used in the preparation of Ayurveda medicine. The floor is paneled with timber of this tree and direct contact of it with bare feet enhances and strengthens the bones of the human body.
