The college is located in Bangalore, Karnataka. The college is situated in the centre of the city which helps in getting affiliations to different hospitals of various specialties.
ABOUT THIS COLLEGE:
This college was started in the year 2003, under Sushrutha Group of Institutions which includes - Sushrutha Ayurveda Medical College. The college has a good infrastructure which includes the college buildings & hostel with all the facilities. The college and hospital is in its sixth year of functioning and has already made a name for its quality education and good hospital set up. Our college has hit the highest percentage of results in Bangalore both in 1st & 3rd Professional BAMS exams held at Feb/March 2007 by RGUHS.
The head of the institution is the principal, Dr B R Ramakrishna, who has a master's degree both in Ayurveda and Yoga. He has a very long experience of teaching Ayurveda, and is an expert in Ayurvedic Pharmacology and Panchakarma. He has been conducting Ayurveda and yoga workshops in many European countries and is a widely acclaimed expert there. The vice principal and CEO of the college and the hospital looks into the smooth running and organizational issues.
The institute is associated with many specialty hospitals like the Jayanagar General Hospital, Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, CCRI&S Hospital, Padmashree Diagnostics & many more institutions, for the clinical exposure of the students.
The college has a close association with pharmaceutical companies like Vedic Bio Labs, Pradhan Herbals & cosmetics, which are, certified GMP companies manufacturing over 50 Ayurvedic products for local market & export. The students are exposed to the latest in the herbal drug manufacturing process in these companies.
COURSE OFFERED:
The course offered by this institution is B.A.M.S - Bachelor in Ayurveda Medical Science.
ELIGIBILITY:
The students should qualify by 10 + 2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
DURATION:
5 ½ years (Including 1 year internship).
FACULTY:
The college has the best teaching staffs in Ayurveda. All of them are minimum Postgraduate degree holders from National institutes and PhD degree holders. An experienced PG holder from the same subject heads each department. There is a separate department dealing with the issue of education and propagation of Ayurveda & yoga in foreign countries. The department has conducted workshops on Yoga & Ayurveda in Spain, Austria & Germany.
The college has sufficient faculty who impart the knowledge in the classrooms and guide them effectively in the clinical areas. They take care of the students in all aspects. This is clearly evident from the results of the university examinations.

We provide hostel facility for the students.

We charge for the course is Tuition Fees - 58000/-, University Fees - 5000/-, Helinet Fees - 1842/-, Sports & Other Fees - 1100/-, Hostel Deposit (50% Deposit Refund) - 10000/-, and Monthly Hostel Fees - 3000/-.
OTHER FACILITIES:
There are well equipped labs for all the departments. There is a well equipped library which provides for a better learning with a wide range of publications of medical and nursing books, journals and articles both from National and International areas. There is also a digital library which provides for updating the knowledge of the students to the latest developments and research done in the medical and nursing fields.
The college has a botanical garden close to Bangalore, which is well maintained & has more than 300 species of medicinal plants. The students have a first hand experience in collecting fresh specimens and preparing herbariums.
The Department of Anatomy is modern & well equipped with adequate number of specimens, cadavers, skeletons, charts, models etc. A detailed dissection is been taught to the students as a good foundation for further education.
