The Lake Village Heritage Ayurvedic Resort - a Lakeside Island Resort at the Gateway of Kumarakom, Kottayam. The Lake Village Ayurveda Resort offers a range of treatments and ayurveda packages for you to cleanse, Rejuvenate and detoxify the mind and body using traditional ayurveda techniques. The Lake Village Ayurvedic Treatment Centre is a Government of Kerala approved ayurveda hospital in Kerala / treatment centre with Olive Leaf Certification.

The Lake Village is an amazing reproduction of Kerala’s art, architecture, culture, lifestyle, food and entertainment. The flora is spread over 20 acres of lush greenery situated on the bank of Vembanadu Lake.
The nature and atmosphere of the Lake village is marvel at by the foreign guests as well as the Indian who are frequenting it. An exclusive ayurveda centre ‘Dhanwanthri” is a major part of The Lake Village.

TREATMENTS:
The treatments offered by this centre are; Basti karma, Virchana karma, Vamana karma, Nasya karma, Rakta Moksha karma, Pizzichil, Netra tarpana, Shirodharra, Localized bastis, Blossom (rejuvenation program), Weight Reduction Programme - General Body massage, Head and face massage, Foot massage, Medicated steam baths, Takradhara, Tailadhara, Njavarakizhi, Kizhi and Panchakarma.

DOCTORS:
Dr.Ravi shanker our consultant ayurvedic doctor, has been with us since 2001. He was born in 1976 in a well known family of great ayurvedic tradition which can boast of over a century of ayurvedic practice. His child hood was in midst of herbs and herbal preparations and was inspired by the refreshing aromas of the medicines. After the primary schooling he joined the prestigious Kottakkal Ayurveda College for his graduation in Ayurvedic medicine and surgery. His main areas of interests are spinal disorders, connective tissue disorders, psoriasis, migraine, cervical lumbar spondylosis, stress and related disorders, rheumatism, etc.
ACCOMMODATION:
The Lake Village has 17 aesthetically furnished cottages on the waterfront. The cottage has been laid out in such a way that the culture, heritage lifestyle of this beautiful land is well-preserved and private balconies over looking the lake.

The cottages are an artful blend of the old and new with modern amenities to make your stay comfortable. Each cottage imparts a unique feeling of staying afloat a houseboat with the backwater gently lapping the sides. The garden bathrooms are open to the sky exuding oneness with nature.
FOOD:
We provide only the organic food and some food from the Garden. We serve white sugar and nightshades, but we do not serve chilli.
