LOCATION: It is located at 1734 Jasmine Avenue, Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa 52556, USA. It is in the heartland of Iowa. Visitors come from all over the world to Iowa just to visit The Raj. ABOUT THIS CENTRE: The Raj's expansive 100-acre grounds twisting through pastures, meadows, and forests, miles of trails are ideal for meditative walks. The Raj is an elegant French country style estate. It's interior is quiet, soft hued, the epitome of traditional Western elegance and taste. The Raj has a reputation as America's premier Ayurvedic Health Centre and Spa. It is the only Ayurveda facility outside of India specifically designed and built to offer the traditional Ayurveda rejuvenation treatments. It has become an internationally acclaimed health center and award-winning health spa, winning several spafinder awards for best spa and more recently, best medical programs. It has also been acclaimed for its brain health and brain fitness program, as well as its stress-management program. Over 600 scientific research studies conducted at 240 medical schools and universities, published in top scientific journals have proven the effectiveness of The Raj's stress management program, as well as its detoxification programs. The Raj is the only Ayurvedic facility built according to the principle of Vedic Architecture, the science of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, also known as vastu vidya. Just entering the building's entrance one feels the nourishing, health-promoting effect of this science of Vedic Architecture. A feeling of health, wholeness, and harmony pervade the atmosphere - many of the devoted, well-trained staff practice the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique, as do the residents of Maharishi Vedic City, where all buildings and houses are also built according to Vedic Architecture. Nearby there is a campus within the city of more than 1000 Vedic pandits performing traditional Vedic peace-creating ceremonies (yagyas) daily, and large group meditations by the citizens of the city also meet twice daily to practice the scientifically proven Maharishi's Vedic technologies for creating world peace. TREATMENTS: All treatments other than day spa treatments, are individualized to suit the needs, body type, and imbalances or disorders of each individual. This is determined through the information gained from the initial Ayurvedic Pulse Assessment given by The Raj's highly skilled and trained Ayurvedic health experts. The herbalized oils and other ingredients used in massages, enemas, and other treatments, are all based on the individual pulse assessment, to promote maximum balancing and healing effects.

ACCOMMODATION: All of The Raj hotel rooms have one, or two, queen-sized beds. FOOD: Breakfast is included with your room. For lunch and dinner, reservations can be made with The Raj restaurant upon arrival. All food is organic and vegetarian. Panchakarma guests receive a special menu for their cleansing diet. PRICE RANKING: Prices for hotel rooms are $108.00 per night single occupancy, and $165.00 per night, double occupancy. A minimum three day Panchakarma rejuvenation program is $2187.00 per person including room, meals, Ayurvedic wellness consultations, yoga classes, Ayurvedic cooking classes, daily treatments, health coaching, and lectures. Enhanced Program: The cost of a 10-day Veda Enhanced Program depends on how immersed you want to get, and your budget. It is The Raj's most deluxe and intensive program for chronic conditions and for those seriously-minded individuals who want to go for the highest available treatments and can afford the cost. It includes the element special oils that have to be ordered 30 days in advance from India, as well as the regular Maharishi Rejuvenation Treatments - Panchakarma. The Enhanced Program The cost for this is $950.00/day. There is also the regular Maharishi Rejuvenation Treatment program (Panchakarma) which can be quite transforming especially if taken for many days (ie.10 days-or more) and that cost is $661.00/day. Some people do this for 2-3 weeks or longer. The stress management program includes Transcendental Meditation Technique for reducing stress and anxiety. This scientifically proven TM technique (please see below) is offered as an option, and highly recommended. It offers a life-time worth of benefits that increase over time with regular practice. It has a separate fee. VEDIC AUTHENTICITY IN MAHARISHI AYURVEDA: The Raj offers treatments and programs in Maharishi Ayurveda.
