LOCATION:
The College is situated on National Highway No. 91 that is Delhi-Kanpur G.T.Road, 12 Kms from Bulandshahr & 5 Kms. from Khurja opposite Dharpa Power House. Khurja, a small but well known town, is situated in the mid of “Do-aba” the land between the Ganga and Yamuna rivers - at a distance of 85 km south east of Delhi on the Delhi-Howarh Grand Trunk Road. Vaidyas of Khurja have always had reputation for treating chronic diseases by Ayurvedic Medicines. Patients from long distances have regularly been visiting Khurja for the treatment.
ABOUT THIS COLLEGE:
The College is associated with 2 hospitals. Former one is situated in the heart of city i.e. Purana Bazar, while the newer one is running in the new building of the college having 8 specialized O.P.Ds along with 24 hours emergency services with all modern facilities & inpatient capacity of 150 beds. Four rural peripheral health centers & a Mobile Clinic in the ambulance is also attached with the hospitals so that medical students may have training in the urban as well as remote rural areas and develop their confidence in treating the patients.
It is the first private Ayurvedic College in General Category to get N.O.C. by U.P. Government & permanent affiliated to C.S.J.M. University Kanpur. It got permission from Central Council of Indian Medicine New Delhi since 2002. It is the first college to get N.O.C. from U.P. Government for the Post Graduation in Ayurveda i.e. M.D. (Ay.) and M.S. (Ay) and consent for application with C.S.J.M. Univ. Kanpur. It is a first unaided college to get student in B.A.M.S. through C.P.M.T. as evident from the broacher of U.P.C.P.M.T. 2009.
COURSE OFFERED:
This college offers the following courses are; B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurved and Medical Science) and M.D.Ayurved (5 seats Anatomy & 5 seats surgery).
ELIGIBILITY:
The students should qualify by 10 & +2 (Science) with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology for B.A.M.S. and BAMS + Internship for M.D. Ayurved.
DURATION:
The course duration for the B.A.M.S. is 4 and half year 1 year rotating internship and for M.D. Ayurved is 3 years & 1 year.
ACCOMMODATION:
The Building is situated in more than 11 Acres of land where extension of the building is going on along with separate hostel for boys and girls.
FOOD:
The college has mess & canteen facility for the students.
OTHER FACILITIES:
The College has unique collection of more then 5000 old ayurvedic books including good collection of modern books. Other then this, a good collection of notes on clinical experience of several vaidyas is available for reference to students.
The college is associated with 150 bedded Ayurvedic Hospital with casualty facility too and all modern & ayurvedic management facilities. The college has been provided with five big lecture theaters having facility of sitting 120 students in each theater. The management of the college regularly arranges medical relief camps every alternate month along with group discussion among the students.
The teaching in the class rooms is aided by O. H. P. & Epidiascope with Audio visual aids in teaching of modern allopathic subjects by lectures of foreign expert doctors of the subject through video cassets & C.Ds.
