LOCATION:
The hospital is situated on 25 acres land near the backwaters along the coast of Kerala, 3 kms towards west from national highway near Karunagappally. Ayurvedic hospital is fully functional 250 beds, staffed with highly qualified and experienced medical practitioners. The hospital, comprising one-half of the 2,00,000 square foot area of the entire campus, and has many state-of-the-art medical facilities, n addition, the hospital grounds include 5 acres of medicinal gardens (currently under development), and a well-equipped pharmacy for making Ayurvedic medicine. Amrita Ayurveda hospital purvey you the traditional, classical Ayurveda treatments to maintain the physical, mental and spiritual care for needy. It has an X-Ray Room, ECG, ultrasound, ICU, several operating theaters, and a fully equipped lab with the capacity to make all varieties of pathological investigations. And also offers Diabetes, Spinal disorders, Ulcers, Obesity, Hypertension, Skin disorders, Respiratory disorders, Mental disorders, Arthritis.Myopia, Hypermetreopia, Pterygium, Astigmatism, Retinitis, Dryness, Alopecia.
DOCTORS:
This department is staffed by highly skilled physicians, paramedical staffs and trained nurses who provide support to seriously ill patients. Totally 30 doctors are in this hospital. The hospital is blessed with gifted doctors and specialists under whose strict supervision and guidance prescription are made
FOOD:
There is a well-equipped kitchen serving tasty, hygienic, wholesome pure vegetarian food for the benefit of the in-patients. We provide Cafeteria nutritious Kerala style vegetarian food. The food is cooked in- house maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and nutrition. Ayurveda herbal recipe is provided to the patients as per the patient condition.
Only vegetarian food is provided for Patients and bystanders. Outside food is not allowed within the hospital premises even for bystanders. Any Special diet prescribed by the doctor is provided through kitchen / Hitahara section and shall be at an extra cost.
Extra food, milk and fruit juices can be provided for Patients / Bystanders at extra cost. The food service is by buffet system. Patient’s who prefer their food to be served in the room should inform nursing station in advance so that it can be organized.
ACCOMMODATION:
The surroundings filled with natural greenery and an environment free pollution ensures optimum results from the treatment. All rooms are spacious and comfortable, with private bathroom and television facilities. It has spacious well-furnished A/c and Non A/c rooms with TV and Telephone. It has large open space and parking space for vehicles and it has the communications facilities STD/ISD facility, e-mail service.
PRICE RANKING:
The charge for normal diet of patient is included in the room rent. Bystander’s food is provided at extra cost.
OTHER FACILITIES:
It has a general library is also functioning for the benefit of the patients and bystanders. Its collection includes books of general interest as well as professional literature. Each room is provided with an intercom facility & TV 24 hrs water supply is available in bathroom. Laundry service, telephone & fax services are available and are chargeable extra. Electricity is backed up by generator round the clock. Toiletries & mosquito repellents should be brought by the patient himself. Bad sheet & bed spreads are changed once in 2 days unless instructed by the attending Doctor. Only hospital bed sheets & bed spreads can be used in the hospital.
