I was disapointed. Someone indicated me this place because all the treatments were performed by doctors.
This could be true in the past. Today we almost have no contact with doctors. They aren\'t present in the treatment room and they don\'t visit you in the room to follow the treatment. Sometimes they don\'t know whats going on with you.
If you want to talk to them you have to search them through campus.
The consultation we had when we arrived was quick and superficial. No physical exam or pulse analisys.
Because it was an ayrvedic clinic one should expect receive treatment and food according to your constitution
But unfortunatle everybody do the same treatment n eat the same food.
The only upside of this plac is the massage therapists. They are caring and professional. But they cannot do doctor\'s job.
If you look for an authentic Ayuvedic treatment forget this place
There you will find a beautiful garden and good massage. You cannot say you are treated according to Ayurveda
there is nothing what i could praise!!!!
food is very poor, cold and has nothing to do with ayurvedic doshas!
the rooms in the main house are loud, not clean, have moldy mattresses an
no comfort. even the Telefone didn't work.
in case of support from the office, you have to wait minimum 3 days.
the worst review applies the so-called medical treatment.
the therapists will be presented to the patients as doctors but it seems that they are trainees. the medical recommends between Dr Ravi and the therapists are contradictory.
i bought a lot of recommended medicine to take with me, which I showed to two different Ayurvedic Doctors. In Ayurvedic textbooks, it was clear that this medication had nothing to do with my symptoms-
also I did not receive any refund for the medicines, i returned.
from my perspective and experience i can definitly not recommend this place.
honestly I feel that Poonthotham is only interested to make money.
This is the best clinic i have ever seen in my life. Dr. Ravi and his team are professionals. When I got out there I had a terrible joints pain and they were swollen. After 2 weeks treatment the paint and swell had gone and I felt much better in general. Dr. Ravi is a magician and he helped me a lot! I can't thank him and his team enough for their great help to get rid of my disease. I would with no hesitation recommend this clinic to those who are planinig to go there!

It was a very nice experience when my parents stayed in Poonthottam. From the staff, to the rooms, to the treatment, to the atmosphere & not to forget the dedication of Dr Ravi, everything was very nice. My mom came back feeling much better who had come for her joint pains, & my dad who was just there to give her company also was benefitted mentally by the appropriate surrounding, food, people, air that he felt much better after spending 2weeks there.. we are again planning to go this month for 2weeks.. thanks to the previous experience..
Poonthottam is one of the best ayurvedic hospital in true sense. Dr. Ravi's dedication towards health, research and quality preperation of medicine is incredible. This is only type of centre where doctors themselves gives treatment to their patients. With nice ambience and nice quality people themselves feel rejuvinated & cured.
