LOCATION:
Rajah Islands are a couple of Islands on the backwaters of Kerala India offering Ayurveda treatments. The second Island is connected to the Main Island by a bridge over which people can walk. House boats are docked at this Island and a small treatment cottage is also available here. The Island has an area of five acres.
The pleasant and calm atmosphere with waters and excellent natural beauty surrounding the Islands, relaxes one physically and mentally, thus tuning him or her to respond well to Ayurveda related treatments.
The third Island is slightly away from the two above mentioned Islands and is about 30 acres in area. The Island is currently left in its natural form and is not being used for any sort of services or cultivation.
ABOUT THIS CENTRE:
The main Island has an area of 14 acres and has the main building with suite, deluxe rooms, double rooms and a multi cuisine restaurant. Cottages for stay and treatment rooms for Ayurveda treatments overlook the waters. Another building on the main Island houses the doctor's consultancy rooms, pharmacy, and a conference hall. Apart from these, a building for prayers, paved walkways, children's play area and boat landings are also available on the main Island.
TREATMENTS:
The treatments offered by this centre are; Uzhichil, Elakizhi, Navarakizhi, Podikizhi, Udvarthanam, Thalapothichil, Dhanyamladhara, Pizhichil, Sirodhara, Sirovasthy, Snehapanam, Kadeevasthy, Thalam, Lepanam, Pichu, Avagaham, Upanaham, Nethratharpanam, Putapakam, Nethradhara, Aschyothanam, Mukhalepam, Ksheeradhoomam and Panchakarma Treatments – Vamanam, Virechanam, Nasyam, Snehavasthy & Kashayavasthy.
The morning treatment will be a major treatment which will be a massage or dhara etc. One of the doctors accompanied by the treatment staff would be available at the treatment rooms for this treatment. Male patients are treated by mail staff and female patients will be treated by female staff. You will be briefed about the treatments before it begins.
ACCOMMODATION:
Three air conditioned bedrooms with attached bath, dining room, living room and sit out. It is paneled with Deodar wood from Kashmir with excellent engravings on the panels. Area: 2172 square feet.
Docked at the second Island, the Kashmiri house boat is accessible from the main Island through the bridge that connects the two Islands or alternatively by boat. The house boat is fully paneled with beautifully carved Deodar wood.
A small cottage on the second Island serves as the treatment room for the house boats. Two air conditioned bedrooms with attached bath and sit out facing the river - Area: 743 square feet.
Two air conditioned bedrooms with attached bath, verandah facing the backwaters - Area: 775 square feet. The Lotus cottage has two bedrooms with doors to each bedroom from the entrance outside. A sit out common to both the bedrooms faces the backwaters. One air conditioned bedroom with attached bath and verandah facing the backwaters. The cottage is built on four coconut palms - Area: 706 square feet.
Build on four coconut palms, the sit out of this hut faces the backwaters. Made of wood panels the hut has a bedroom, toilet and a sitting area at the back. There is also a small verandah at the entrance.
Two air conditioned bedrooms with attached bath and Verandah -Area: 841 square feet, two air conditioned bedrooms with attached bath and Verandah - Area: 841 square feet.
A sitting area leads to a bedroom section which is partitioned from the other areas by half height partitions. There is a toilet and dressing area connected to this section. This section leads to a bedroom which also has an attached toilet.
One air conditioned bedroom with attached bath - Area 471 square feet. The bedroom has a sitting section with a view of the pool area. One air conditioned bedroom with attached bath - Area 228 square feet, the double AC and non AC rooms are in the main building. There is a good view of the waters from these rooms.
FOOD:
We provide the delicious food in our multi cuisine restaurant.

OTHER FACILITIES:
At Rajah Island patients can sit outside listening to soft music or reading. There is a small library at the center which could be made use of. For drinking you will be supplied with herbal water which is good for improving digestion and to purify blood.
There is vehicle parking space on the “landing area” on the national highway. A reception in this area has a boat jetty. You will be taken to the Island by boat from here. The reception stocks snacks, soft drinks and has coffee and tea vending machines. There is also a medicine selling counter at the reception. The medicinal products sold at the counter are all manufactured by Rajah Healthy Acres, another unit of Rajah Ayurvedic hospitals. A big boat is being converted to a restaurant in this area close to the highway.
